Found Object is the Design Studio organ in formation: the Red Dot School's aspirational design practice, a prototype the School is actively working to spin into a real operating firm. Web home: foundobject.zip. It is pre-launch, not design-fiction: the catalog and brand infrastructure exist; the firm side (clients, projects, billing) is being built.

What exists today / 現状

• A visual catalog of salvaged objects organized as "Heroes" (currently ~33) with associated "Passports" (material passports, ~8 variants prototyped). サルベージされた物の視覚的カタログ。「ヒーローズ」（現在およそ33点）として整理され、それぞれに「パスポート」（マテリアル・パスポート。およそ8種類が試作済み）が紐づけられている。
• Sub-pages for each of the four shapes (/circle, /square, /triangle, /x), each a carousel of objects tagged to that group. 四つの形それぞれのサブページ（/circle、/square、/triangle、/x）。各ページは、そのグループにタグ付けされた物のカルーセルになっている。
• A drawing-stamp aesthetic matching the Theory of Change footers. Theory of Change のフッターと調和する、手描きスタンプ風の意匠。

How it relates to the School / 学校との関係

The salvage objects in the Found Object catalog and the salvage in the School's Sunoue Gymnasium warehouse are the same physical objects, presented in two registers: pedagogical at the School, product-catalog at the practice. "Clients for Found Object" is a target operating state the institution is actively trying to reach, not a permanent placeholder.

ファウンドオブジェクトのカタログにあるサルベージ品と、学校の須ノ上体育館の倉庫にあるサルベージ品は、同一の物であり、二つの位相で提示されている。学校では教育的なものとして、実践（practice）では製品カタログとして、である。「ファウンドオブジェクトのクライアント」とは、財団が現に到達しようと努めている運営上の目標状態であって、恒久的な仮置きではない。

Precedents in the wild / 実例

The Found Object thesis, that salvaged objects, well chosen, create real value, is already proven by working businesses. One observed firsthand:

Guesthouse Waku, Nagiso, Nagano. A renovated kominka (traditional folk house) guesthouse in the Kiso valley. Its proprietors furnish the guest experience largely with tableware and trays salvaged from the area's akiya (vacant houses). In their own words: "Most of the plates and trays we use at Waku come from old vacant houses in Nagiso. We're happy to give them a new life." Observed firsthand (Xavaar stayed there, 2026-06): a guesthouse of superb taste where the found objects are not decoration but the substance of the hospitality. This is the same move Found Object makes, run at the scale of a single guesthouse and made to pay: salvage plus taste equals value, and the akiya is the supply.
