RDS keeps a glossary of its own terms, the words and phrases that carry the institution's culture. Entries are numbered as they are issued (the first official entry is labelled "RDS Glossary 01").

OK Ranch! / OK 牧場！

One of the signature expressions of RDS. "OK Ranch!" is a playful phrase used to foster a sense of shared purpose and collective momentum, something close to "Let's do this!" or "We're all in."

It traces to "OK Bokujō!" (OK 牧場！), a well-known catchphrase popularized by former WBC Lightweight Champion and television personality Guts Ishimatsu (ガッツ石松). The original was a humorous, nonsensical expression rather than a statement with any particular meaning, widely recognized in Japan for its playful tone.

The term entered RDS culture when Isso (河本義成, a board member) sent "OK 牧場！" in a group message. An automatic translation rendered it as "OK Ranch!", and the unusual translation was enthusiastically adopted by the team. Although the phrase carries no specific meaning, it is used to express agreement, readiness, encouragement, or collective commitment. More than a slogan, it functions as a cultural marker of participation and camaraderie. Since the first RDS studio in May 2023 it has been shared with students and alumni, and is now a common expression among RDS people around the world.

RDS を象徴する掛け言葉のひとつ。役員の一人である一草さんが発端となり、「よし、やろう！」「みんなで行こう！」という気持ちを共有する際に用いられる。語源は、「OK 牧場！」というフレーズにある。これは元 WBC 世界ライト級王者であり、タレントとしても活躍したガッツ石松の持ちギャグで、広く親しまれた言葉である。RDS では、一草さんが役員グループのメッセージで「OK 牧場！」と送信した際、自動翻訳によって「OK Ranch!」と変換されたことをきっかけに、この表現が定着した。言葉そのものに特別な意味があるわけではないが、「了解」「賛成」「準備完了」といった肯定的なニュアンスを持ち、プロジェクトへの参加や仲間との連帯を軽やかに表現する言葉として使われている。2023 年 5 月のスタジオ以降は参加学生にも共有され、現在では世界各地にいる RDS の卒業生や関係者をつなぐ合言葉となっている。国籍や言語を越えて、ともに探究するという RDS の精神を象徴する文化の一つである。
