Overview / 概要

The Foundation has developed, in collaboration with Sagiura Elementary School, a ceremony for the disassembly of an akiya. It is framed as the ritual inversion of jichinsai (地鎮祭, the Shinto ground-breaking ceremony): closing rather than opening, releasing rather than claiming.

財団は、鷺浦小学校との協働により、空き家を解体するための儀式をつくり上げてきた。これは、地鎮祭（土地の神を祀る神道の起工の儀式）を反転させた儀式として位置づけられている。すなわち、開くのではなく閉じ、手に入れるのではなく手放す儀式である。

What we know / わかっていること

  • The ceremony is one of the Foundation's own ritual contributions to the island's calendar. この儀式は、財団が島の年中行事に加えた、財団自身の儀礼的な貢献の一つである。
  • It is the most concrete expression of the Workshop's ethic, that what previous generations built deserves care. それは、前の世代が築いたものは大切に扱われるに値するという、ワークショップの倫理を最も具体的に表したものである。
  • The GAFRAB studios developed its formal expression (regalia, graphic language, and a spatiotemporal program), per the Foundation's documents. 財団の資料によれば、その形式的な表現（祭具、グラフィック言語、そして時空間のプログラム）は、GAFRAB のスタジオが練り上げたものである。

A salvaged piece: "That guy" / 救い出された一片：「あの人」

A salvage tag on a repurposed sales-slip, tied to an iron tie-bolt and its two diamond washer-plates from the Nakamura house; hand-marked "ナカムラ Salvage / That guy," 2026-03-28 / 中村家から救い出した鉄の通しボルトと二枚の菱形座金に結ばれた、売上伝票を転用した荷札。「ナカムラ Salvage / That guy」と手書きされている（2026年3月28日）。

A concrete instance of the Workshop's salvage practice: an iron tie-bolt with two diamond-shaped washer-plates, taken from the deconstruction of the Nakamura house (中村家), a vacant house the studio cohort had nicknamed "That guy." The piece carries a hand-written salvage tag made on a repurposed Japanese sales-slip (売上伝票), dated 2026-03-28 and marked "ナカムラ Salvage / That guy," itemizing the hardware (a bolt and two nuts). On 2026-06-04, Isso (Kawamoto Yoshishige) brought the tagged piece to Kakumeisha. The tag is a working example of the Workshop's material-passport habit: each salvaged part is named, dated, and traced back to the house it came from, so that "what previous generations built" stays legible after the building itself is gone.

ワークショップのサルベージの実践を具体的に示す一片。中村家（学生たちが「あの人（That guy）」と呼んでいた空き家）の解体から取り出された、二枚の菱形座金を伴う鉄の通しボルトである。この一片には、売上伝票を転用した手書きの荷札が結ばれており、2026年3月28日付で「ナカムラ Salvage / That guy」と記され、金物（ボルト一本、ナット二個）が書き出されている。2026年6月4日、イッソ（河本義成）がこのタグ付きの一片を格明舎へ持参した。この荷札は、ワークショップの「マテリアル・パスポート」の習わしを示す実例である。救い出された部材は一つひとつ名前と日付を与えられ、もとの家まで辿れるようにされる。建物が失われたあとも「前の世代が築いたもの」が読み取れるように。
