2024年1月に、メルボルン大学建築学科修士設計スタジオとThe Red Dot Schoolの合同セッションを行いました。メルボルン大学大学院と講師の計14名が佐木島を訪問し、RDS関連物件の見学、古材のカンナがけワークショップ、鷺浦小学校との交流、レクチャーなどを行いました。
In January 2024, the Master of Architecture design studio at the University of Melbourne and The Red Dot School held a joint session. A total of 14 students from the University of Melbourne's Graduate School and lecturers visited Sagishima to tour RDS-related properties, participate in carpentry workshops, interact with Saginoura Elementary School.

- 2023年9月コースで解体した空き家から取り出した古材にカンナをかけるワークショップ。講師に大工兼地域おこし協力隊の四方氏。/ A workshop to apply a planer to old wood taken from an abandoned house demolished in the September 2023 course. The instructor was carpenter Mr. Shikata.
- カンナの調整方法を学んだ後、古材の表面を削った。/ After learning how to adjust the planer, they scraped the surface of the old wood.
- メルボルン大学で講師を務めるナンシーさん / Nancy, a lecturer at the University of Melbourne, also tried her hand at planing.
- 鷺浦小学校の子供達による圧巻の太鼓パフォーマンス / Impressive taiko performance by children of Sagiura Elementary School
- 鷺浦小学校にて佐木島ロッテリアゲームを通じた交流を行った。/ Everyone enjoyed a game called "Sagishima Loteria" created by children and RDS.
- RDS卒業生もサポートに入ってくれました。/ RDS alumni also came in to support the session.
- 丸1日を佐木島で一緒に過ごしました。/ We spent a whole day together on Sagishima.
