県道
陸上の交通が確立されるまで、農協に出 荷する農産物は全て船による海上移送でしたが、生活の向上と共に、集落間の交流 も盛んとなり、生活上道路の設置が不可 欠となりました。
当初、東廻り線だけであった道路は、西 廻り線も完成し、島内一周の生活道路となっています。
昭和38年、須ノ上県道は道幅1.5mから5mに拡幅されています。
現在、一車線であった県道が拡幅され、写真に見られるような歩道のある二車線 の素晴しい道路に変わってきています。

港には、農船 (藻とり舟) ではなく、レジャーボートが停泊し、 荷揚げ場は駐車場として利用され、 通勤のための乗用車が駐車している。

鷺浦コミュニティセンター (旧佐木島開発総合センター)
昭和 60 年、向田地蔵脇に 佐木島開発総合センターができた。
地域づくりやコミュニティ活動全般にわたって鷺浦町の社会教育活動の拠点として 広く利用されている。 現在、 鷺浦コミュニティセンターと名称が変更になっている。
三原市青年の家 (さぎしまセミナーハウス)
平成7年、 三原市立須ノ上小学校が閉校となり、 平成 8年 三原市青年の家となった。

さぎしまふるさと館
平成7年、 三原市立向田小学校が閉校となり、 平成19年、「さぎしまふるさと館」 となった。郷土の古跡の写真や資料・農業・産業などに係わる機材や生活・地域に係わるものなど多方面にわたり多数収蔵されている。

Prefectural Road
Until land transportation was established, all agricultural products shipped to the agricultural cooperative were transported by sea.
The road was originally only an eastbound road, but a westbound road was completed, and it has become a road for daily life around the island.
In 1963, the Sunokami prefectural road was widened from 1.5 to 5 meters.
Today, the one-lane prefectural road has been widened and turned into a wonderful two-lane road with sidewalks, as seen in the photo.

Sagishima Public Facilities in the Present (Heisei Era)
Saginoura Community Center (former Sakijima Development Center)
In 1985, the Sagishima Development Center was established beside the Mukoda Jizo.
It is widely used as a base for social and educational activities in the town of Saginoura, including community development and community activities in general. It is currently renamed the Saginoura Community Center.
Mihara City Youth House (Sagishima Seminar House)
In 1995, Sunoue Elementary School in Mihara was closed, and in 1996, it became the Mihara City Youth House.

Sagishima Furusato Kan
In 1995, Mihara Municipal Mukaida Elementary School was closed, and in 2007, it became the Sagishima Furusato Kan (Sagishima Furusato Museum). The museum houses a large collection of photographs and documents of local historic sites, as well as equipment related to agriculture and industry, and items related to daily life and the local community.
