SSS! は3月27日から3月31日の期間で、一般社団法人 The Red Dot Schoolが主催する短期間のワークショップです。春の佐木島での滞在を楽しみながら、空き家の解体作業・古材収集・古民家改修などのワークなどを行う予定です。滞在中には運が良ければ、360度見渡す限り桜と瀬戸内海が広がる千本桜や道祖神の丘などにも訪問できそうです。短い期間ではありますが、The Red Dot Schoolのデザインビルド活動を体験したり、佐木島の心地よい風土に触れていただく機会にできればと思います。

プログラム詳細

▷期間：2025年3月27日から3月31日まで ▷参加費：25,000円(4泊5日の宿泊費と朝食夕食代を含む) ＊部分参加も可能ですが、参加費は変わりません。＊2週間プログラムの卒業生はアシスタント参加枠でご参加いただけます。詳細はお問合せください。 ▷宿泊場所：住福の家(男女別のドミトリーです。キッチン・シャワー・トイレは共同) ▷食事：参加者で自炊を行います。天気が良い日は須の上ビーチ沿いのアウトドアダイニングで食事します。RDS卒業生、講師陣、島民含め交流の時間をたっぷり取ります。 ▷募集人数：8名(締切となりました）ご参加希望の方は、The Red Dot SchoolインスタグラムまでDMにてお問合せください。 ▷プログラム：滞在中に空き家の解体や古材回収、古民家の改修に関わるライトなワークを計画しています。またこれまでのThe Red Dot Schoolの活動紹介を含むショートレクチャーも予定しております。

<解体ワークショップ 3/27-28予定> 2023年9月の解体ワークショップの様子。今回は2024年から続く旧市営住宅の解体です。残すは木構造の一部のみ！

<左官ワークショップ 3/28予定> 3月28日には左官職人・金澤萌さんを迎え、古民家などの古壁に漆喰を塗る技術を実践しながら学びます。

▷その他 ・本プログラムでは保険加入を各参加者にお願いしております。安全には十分配慮しますが、万が一の怪我などに備え事前にセブンイレブン保険などが提供するレジャー保険に加入をお願いします。・集合場所は、3月27日13:06須の上港(佐木島)です。JR尾道駅前の尾道港から12：40発瀬戸田行きの船に乗船してください。最終日は宿泊場所の片付けと清掃を行なった後、11:35須の上港発の便で12：04に尾道港到着予定です。

A short workshop will be held from March 27 to March 31. We plan to enjoy our stay in Sagishima in spring and do some work such as deconstructing vacant houses, salvaging materials and renovating old houses. During the stay, if we are lucky, we will be able to visit Senbonzakura and Dosojin no Oka, where cherry blossoms and the Seto Inland Sea stretch as far as the eye can see in 360 degrees. We hope that this short stay will be an opportunity for you to experience the design-build activities of The Red Dot School and to experience the pleasant climate of Sagishima.

▷ Dates: March 27–31, 2025 ▷ Participation Fee: ¥25,000 (includes 4 nights' accommodation and breakfast & dinner). Partial participation is allowed, but the fee remains the same. Graduates of the 2-week program may join as assistants. Please contact us for details. ▷ Number of Participants: 8 ▷ Accommodation: Sumifuku House (gender-segregated dormitory with shared kitchen, showers, and toilets) ▷ Meals: Participants will prepare meals together. On sunny days, meals will be enjoyed at an outdoor dining space along Sunoue Beach. There will be ample opportunities to interact with RDS graduates, instructors, and local island residents. ▷ Program: Light hands-on activities are planned, including dismantling vacant houses, reclaiming old materials, and renovating traditional houses. Short lectures introducing The Red Dot School's past activities will also be held. ▷ Instructors: Nao Kono, Momoko Kono, Bryan Ortega ▷ Additional Information: * Participants are required to arrange their own insurance for the program. * Meeting Point: March 27, 1:06 PM at Sunoue Port (Sagi Island). Please take the 12:40 PM ferry from Onomichi Port (in front of JR Onomichi Station) heading to Setoda. * On the final day, after cleaning and tidying up the accommodation, we will depart from Sunoue Port at 11:35 AM and arrive at Onomichi Port at 12:04 PM.
